GST showcase, Brussels, 27-28 February 2007

Final event to showcase GST results

On 27-28 February 2007, the ERTICO-coordinated “Global System for Telematics” integrated project (GST) will hold its final workshop in Brussels to present and showcase its results.

The GST consortium has created an open and standardized end-to-end architecture for automotive telematics services, enabling vehicles to communicate with each other and the outside world. Such an open platform also allows vehicle manufacturers, public services and certified companies to provide and distribute their own services to consumers. Subscribers can then have the flexibility and freedom to choose the telematics services that best suit their needs and budget.

The GST two-day event will feature an extensive set of presentations and demonstrations of the GST achievements. The first day will consist of some brief presentations by the 7 subprojects and 5 test sites describing the GST concepts, architecture and validation results. On the second day, attendees will have the opportunity of testing the GST platform in a number of experimental vehicles and computer demonstrations.

Vehicle-to-vehicle communication, emergency call, service deployment, remote service management, safety channel messages, remote payment capability, service certification and many others aspects of GST will also be presented at this promising workshop.

Please put these important date in your diaries!! Registrations will be open from mid-January on.
