7 Sub-projects
Specific skillsets have been mobilised within the GST IP, divided into:
Four technology-oriented sub-projects
- Open Systems is developing the overall architecture for end-to-end telematics
- Certification is creating mechanisms for certification of services and products to comply with the standards
- Payment is developing a transparant payment architecture
- Security is designing an overall security and trust architecture looking at existing stadards but defining add-on specifications where needed
And three service-oriented sub-projects
- Rescue is developing the standard for a fast and effective incident response chain service
- Enhanced Floating Car Data is developing economically viable means content generation through standardisation
- Safety Channel is developing a standardised broadcast mechanism to communicate safety-relevant information to drivers.
